Here's the '59 I been workin' on. The bed is scratch built, using a profile shot of a real '57 for dimensions. The whole thing sets on a Revell '56 chassis and uses Y-block power. Here's a comparison to a stock '60 longbed

when you say '59....is this a conversion you are doing or is this resin? as far as i knew there was never a '59 made in kit form?
both are looking killer, keep posting them!

ya know this gives me an idea. i have a '60 in the stripper that when i first pulled it out i saw that the whole body was sanded badly. now i might smooth it out and just section it ;D

you HAVE my attention! i love old ford pickups! when you say '59....is this a conversion you are doing or is this resin? as far as i knew there was never a '59 made in kit form? both are looking killer, keep posting them! ok im curious too so there was a 60 ford kit but no 59 correct and like rodburner asked is th 59 resin or what The body is a resin repop a friend made from an original '60 that had a badly warped bed. the idea was that it could be used with the bed and frame from the revell '56 because Ford used the same bed right up through '79. I just decided to scratch the bed and the '59 grille. I built the bed as a New Years' Day project a couple years ago... 13 hours.
