Nice work on the two-tone paint scheme. Since I am not familiar with polishing my painted models, (pause while I wait for the laughter to subside) exactly what are you polishing with? Really seems to bring out that deep luster.

Nice work on the two-tone paint scheme. Since I am not familiar with polishing my painted models, (pause while I wait for the laughter to subside) exactly what are you polishing with? Really seems to bring out that deep luster. thank you! well this being enamel clear coat, i just did the same as i usually do with lacquer. i wet sanded the clear to cut the orange peel down and then i used my "original" 1960's polishing cloth with some KIT Carnauba car wax. you can buy it at auto stores in a yellow bottle. i just rub in a circular motion vigorously until i know i have moved the surface around enough to buff the wax back off. this was wet sanded almost 3 years ago and there are some fine scratches from polishing. i am surprised the paint didn't get yellow or something from that long ago. Hosted on Fotkino reason to get really critical.....it's just a model right?
