BTW, I don't mean to come off as a "Richard Cranium", I just wanna see what ya got in the works, man! We have several posted builds that sound similar to what you are thinking. Thanks for clarifying!

I can't seem to figure this thing out. thanx db Easy, here's a link to the tutorial on posting pics: trakinscale.proboards105.com/index.cgi?board=fh&action=display&thread=3237Open the the appropriate thread (rod or custom) for your build - and simply add the pictures in a reply. The threads for next month's MOM should still be open for entering models.

Yes or no…? It’s going to get a roof chop, run a Windsor small block V8 and a set of Halibrands from the Revell ’32 roadster. Let me know if you want it or not.

I see nothing wrong with it Bryce. The rims are actually too new....but I let several others slide that used them...up to you. Personally, the tires are too low profile .... but they are not that bad. This is so borderline, just do it! Windsor..I am pretty sure they were around pre 70. (not going soft, I know they will make it street roddish...but I don't think the whole care will be consumed by the wheels) Bryce knows how to build em'.

Revell Basic builder kit Box stock aside from the obvious mods to loose the fenders and drop it over the frame This kit has been welcomed before. Nothing really wrong with it. I like the simplicit of how this is pictured right here. Dropped, black, and simple. Nice work so far. I say this is a GO DADDY-O!!!! BTW, how'd you get the blond chick to work around all them greasy cars?

looks ok to me Rick. not sure what engine it came with. I comes with (IMHO) a pretty crappy excuse for a small block Chevy. This kit is the epitome of "BASIC", buddy. If you want a kit that you can throw together in one night (not counting any fancy painting), then this is definately the kit. The body is good and the fenders (when used) are OK and fit without TOO much refinemet/sanding. No offense meant to anyone, but this is one kit that I would get to work on with a junior builder. It certainly can (and has been) built into a decent model. I know, I have done it (see "Toad"). Sorry, kinda elaborated on the point a little bit......

Is this kit the same as the old yellow Monogram one with the etched wings and wire wheels...?
If so, then yeah the engine in that kit is kinda what Bob would call a chocolate coated walnut. But the front axle set up is possibly the best available for building accurate TRaK '32s. It has a nice drop, is not too thick and has a great set of '40 juice brakes. And the interior is cool too - I am recycling lots of these bits in my current builds.

Getting a '64 GTO soon... I see some great mild custom potential in it... So if I go for such a look, all parts and paint TRAKable of course, without any attributes that screams muscle car/street machine, I guess it would be OK? Or would it?

I don't see why it shouldn't be - it only requires a slight shave and a custom paintjob, possibly with a set of chrome reverse rims to make it a nice cruiser... Otherwise, you can always take the drag-route with the build:

This would make a great drag car or a mild kustom. None of these are GTO's...but might help. '64 Bonneville....maybe gain inspiration from this? or this.... or this...
