Thanks Bob. So you're saying that, unlike now, satin wasn't a choice of finish but merely a stop on the way? OK, think i'll polish & clear the sucker then. John - I actually built the Blazer ( i70.photobucket.com/albums/i82/gavinmaillardet/Toorak%20Tractor/ToorakTractor02.jpg if you're interested ) and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the kit ("glass" fit was Tamiya-like in that it so tight it caused paint chipping). Shame AMT didn't tool up some 20's & 30's subjects. They would have given the Revell '32s a run for their money. But this is way off topic. Better get back on before Bob notices. Ummmmm, '96 Blazer, is it TRaKable if I paint it matt black with flames & add a deuce grille?

Polishing revealed some nasty sanding marks so it got satined...

OK, I think that this may be outside the general idea of TRaKable, but I thought I would post it up and get some of your thoughts on it.

Though not a fan of the RR craze, that is well done..but first thought came to mind was not RR.....it was Voodoo and modern for first impressions. Not meant as insult though, to me it's too new in construction, ideas and appearance. I think what stands out is the green and the tool box.

Bob, that was my thinking too, but earlier when I decided to not show any more progress shots or put it on the freakin' shelf, there were a couple of questions, so I figured I would get at least a second opinion!!! Now to go find something TRaKable to build!!!

would a 66 nova old school drag car and a 67 chevelle old school drag car be TRaK-able? certainly! as long as all parts and styles appeared before 1969. The biggest mistake I see is the decals used.....make sure the brands or fonts would be around also.

would a 66 nova old school drag car and a 67 chevelle old school drag car be TRaK-able? Not to overstep Bob B. but just wondering, how would you define "old school" and '60's era ?

I share Ron's worry...
Of course the Nova could be built as a wild AWB, but by the end of '66 "The golden age of AWBs" were coming to an end...
I have never seen pictures of a (real) '67 Chevelle drag car that would truly fit the "traditional" theme of TRaK

Double DITTO here. The only thing I have to add is that I have seen AWB '65-66 Nova's and I have seen TRaKable '66-67 Chevelle's too. The problem is with the kits, being they both have pro street super tub chassis'. The interior is also modernized with gages, sheet metal , etc ... it's the models, not the subjects that will cause a problem here.
