Big and littles?
Big and little tire/rim sets have been a street/hot rod staple as far back as I can remember, but are they considered traditional? I was planning on using a set for my CBP 25T.

I was planning on using a set for my CBP 25T. yeah big and littles have changed a lot over the years...but i think most of the traditional style were "whatever size" for the rear and just a size smaller up front and narrower. yea as far as i know big and littles have always been a thing....just the "styles" and "sizes" have changed.

Jody, we don't worry much about chassis' here, interiors are somewhat passable if they are too new, just don't show pics of that part.... otherwise the body looks fine and sounds like it's okay to post. thanks for checking

it looks like a fun build Jody, just too many un-traditional qualities though.

I'm kind of diggin it. I like the ATTEMPT to make it fit in here, while still looking like a '60's style show rod. I have seen some pretty bad attempts at doin the same thing, and have probably come close myself (RE:Sherf), although, there are probably others. I ain't lookin to throw fuel on any fires, as there seems to be a pretty hot cook-out over in the "Rat hatred?" thread. I ain't gettin in on that one! I like this wagon. It kinda fits along the same lines as the other C-cab truck from another builder that is on this board. Hey, it IS just plastic, and the SPIRIT of a traditional rod is there (to me, at least). Not my board, so not my say-so. Just my 2 coppers worth. I'm going back to my bench and buildin' somethin'.......

The five spoke mags out of AMTs '32 roadster (hope that you know which ones I mean, else I can take a picture, but I'm glad if I don't have to), TRAKable or not? They are very deep, and I don't know what model they're supposed to be, but could they pass as late 60s stuff or are they too modern?

I don't know how the others feel about Bugs on the forum, but throughout the sixties numerous were run on the dragstrips in various classes - usually either altered or the lower gas-classes H- or I/Gas... Exactly my thoughts, but what I want to know if the fact that their roots actually only were the VW bug does disqualify them?

sorry i didn't see the questions before. sounds to me like there is no problem. the examples like Chris has shown are pretty much Altered class drag racers.....Which is a pretty early form of drag racing. basically, it's ok if it's a VW as long as it's pre 70

Mattias, I don't know if you have an ebay-account, but you should try looking for the IMC Volkswagon (or the later Union reissue) - It allows you to build either a stock VW or something VERY similar to the last one in my post above: It has a complete second drag-car chassis and running gear, as well as a fairly well-detailed Chrysler 392 Hemi... Come to think of it, this kit is originally from the mid-sixties, so the TRaK'ability should be guaranteed...
