Finally got my "grail" although not an original kit, a resin repop from Model Car Roundup.....had a 1;1 in highschool, Lime green with a mild 289, 4speed. Anyway I finally bit the bullet and ordered it. Used the frame from a the 67 Cyclone GT, shortened and slammed to fit......see below 2 questions now......would it be Trakable as a Bonneville car? Or as, say a mild custom? The salt flats version would have Moon discs, roll cage and minimal interior, where the mild custom might run chrome rims with baby moons, and full interior. Both would get the 390 from the cyclone (with the 4 speed)........opinions before I post it on the bench?

Ok rusa my opinion, if that were mine i'd do moon discs, 4-6 point roll cage, AND full mild kustom interior. I'm a fan of best of both worlds because i'm insaine like that. Just ask my wife.

Thanks guys, I've been hesitant to post this one, mainly because it kinda stalled out on me. I can't decide WHAT to do with it, although I did throw some paint on it recently. It may just end up being a daily driver......I'll keep considering other ideas.

Nice paint work. Looks like a good sleeper in the making. Although, if you put a big motor hanging out of the hood, it'll look like someone didn't upgrade the front end for the weight!
