I think this was the third '32 Ford rod I built ( I've built 19 so far)after the Revell kit was released in '96. I added the "cloth" roof insert and various little stock parts from an AMT '32 kit. It has a complete Model Car Garage photoetch set, a hinged windshield and a scratchbuilt luggage rack. I opened the hood louvers by thinning the inside of the piece, then carefully cutting each louver open. I've done this on several rods with stock hood sides. Small block Chevy. I know, I know,,,,,it's not a flathead. The end.

Hey, Built Ford tough with Chevy stuff! Besides, that engine could be a 327 or 283! At least it's not a TPI injected 350 with center bolt valve covers. (While they make good power, they just don't look good, and I can't stand when an engine is dressed in billet!)
The car looks just right and with interesting details too.

I dont like resto rods but I really like what you have done do yours, expecially because you didnt resort to using those stupid chromed wire wheels that everyone ran in the 70s.

Got a dumb question for you... Whats the measurement of your roof insert? I plan on having one on a upcoming project and have absolutely no clue as to size and shape!

I copied the roof insert from an AMT '34 Ford and it looked like just the right size on the '32. I don't measure a lot. I eyeball most things. If it looks right,,,,,it is! Built this long before MCG had piano hinge kits. Made the hinge from very thin, hollow aluminum tubing with wire through the middle.

Hey! Now this is simple elegance. Nice engine work. Those look like camel-hump heads to me! (angle-plug). Insert looks right, overall great appearance. This is certainly a study piece for styling. Great job!

Wow, this is a really impressive build! Simple and clean, but with the right amount of realistically done detail. AWESOME!!! Randy
