In the late 70s I took a break from building car models and tried my hand at watercolour painting. These paintings are based on photos of cars that I found in the Stockholm area. Maybe the Pontiacs are too new for this forum;-)

Not only are these technically great but you really have (had?) the eye for realism and composition. These are super! You should pick it up again with 30+ years of perspective to influence what you want to do... ;D

I took my daughters acrylic paints and tried to do an airbrush painting with them. I cut stencils to get sharp edges between the different areas. Unfortunatly the paint had a tendency to clog the nozzle, but I am satisfied with the result anyway. Next time I will get more suitable paint and use stiffer paper for the stencils. /Mikael
Very nice artwork! I love the subject matter. I'm a big American car fan. I mean, I like cars that are big. Anyway, I have a soft spot for the '65 Caddy. I had a '65 Eldorado years ago. Of course the '58 is my favorite. I still have my '58 Cad.
