I do like seeing old models! I know the main reason is to see the survivor, higher end builds from back in the day...but I am not sure there are that many out there? I am glad to see any vintage built ups, but I hope we don't get carried away with junk vs. nostalgia
So far so good, keep them coming!
He's a pedantic, pontificating, pretentious bastard, a belligerent old fart, a worthless steaming pile of cow dung, figuratively speaking.
Here's one of my vintage builds. It's not really a kit but still has that same cool period look. Its a Saunders, about 1/20th scale. The guy in the suit really makes it for me. I rescued it for $2 at some flea market.
Cliffies 40 Found at a garage sale about 3 streets away from where i grew up. Talked to the old timer for almost an hour that day. Said he would dig out the rest of what he had sometime and give me a call. He did. I have a bunch of stuff that i sold here over the past month, no other nice builds as this though. I still have a large tackle box full of parts to go thru yet that i got from him. What a great guy! The finish on this 40 was almost flat. I polished it up and put the chrome reversed wheels and whites on her. Its got all courduroy interior. Funny thing happened...after recieving the tacle box, i found the original AlaKart wheels and tires that he said were on it years ago, so ill be swapping them out for the originals.
This is a good spot to drop a quick note or ask for help. If you are in a bad mood, this isn't the right spot to drop feelings. Thanks for understanding!

krassandbernie: Yup! I have 3 that are 'seconds'.......which are nicer than what you'd get most anywhere else; or you can just order one. Send me a pm if you are still interested; and we can go from there.
