Well, here's another obstacle out of the way. What I have is about a 4" channel, and a 4 1/2" lowering for a total so far of about an 8 1/2" body drop. I've had to raise the grille shell a few times to look somewhat the height in the picture of the 1:1. The grille shell is still narrowed a bit too but I think it would only be about two inches total, and again I'm trying to match the picture of the real truck. When I get to the sectioning of the body I'll go for a 3" to start, and adjust it a little bit at a time. The 1:1 was chopped and sectioned 5" each. Gary

I've got the drivers side body sectioned. I'm putting 3 pictures to show the difference in the section before and after, and the 1:1 car side view. As a little note, I just looked at the 1:1 picture and it looks like I'm going to have to lower the headlights a bit. Get out the saw again! For the section I removed about a scale 5", maybe just a tad less. I raised the front wheelwell to the stock configuration but it didn't look like it was showing enough tire so I raised it another couple of scale inches. I also raised the rear about the same amount as the front. I'm also thinking I have it lowered a little too much. What do you guys think? Gary

Looks great with the section and I think your ride height's about right. Kinda hard to tell without seeing a shot from the same angle as the pic of the real car. FWIW, I think your headlight height looks better than the 1/1.

Looking good! As it stands, the headlights look fine, but I think once the top is chopped, they'll look better lower down...

The picture I had with me in my workshop (my garage) of the car is different than the one above and as such the fender profile looked different. I think I'll be lowering the lights to make the fender rounder at the top. Gary

It looks perfect! I am constantly amazed at the way you cut, shape, and fill plastic. I think if everyone strived to customize plastic the way you do the model building community would be a better place ha.
