Great work so far, and an interresting subject as well. Heres a pick taken at Joe Bailons Custom Shop in January 1960. Car was taken in for repair. And heres more, and a link, if you dont have it: www.kustomrama.com/index.php?title=Rick_Gregg's_1950_Ford

Atle, thanks for the pictures, especially the first one. None of the other pictures I'd seen show the shape of the grille shell so well. I didn't know it curved in at the bottom. Gary

Well, hope this is ok. ???You asked for a pic of mine - this is the only photo I've got right now and it's an old one. Yours will be a ton better than mine.

This is my first update in about three months, but progress has been slow and steady since then. I'm still in the putty/primer stage, but getting very close to a real paint job I think. The parts that needed plating are at The Little Motor Car Co., and I should have them back late this month or early next I hope. This one has really been a lot of work, and never would have even been attempted if not for being here on this site. Thanks many times over for all your encouragement! Gary

Man do i like that. Can't wait to see it painted!!! Not quite sure about the 58 Chev side trim though, looks alittle thick, been going over the pics, still not sure. But you are the builder, if you say 58 Chev, okay. Put me down for one if it gets casted, no talent here.

I agree about the side trim if you're trying to duplicate the original... looks like factory trim to me. Might think about the trim from the Trumpeter Bonneville as a thinner alternative or simply make your own. Aside from that, the progress is great... looks spot on.
