Could be the camera angle or something, but the front track width seems really wide. Do the front wheels possibly need the posts on the back trimmed down or removed to get the brake drum nestled into the wheel?

Took a few hours to catch up on this build. Wiring flathead engine, interior and dashboard, front suspension. Trial fitting wheels for measuring mountings on backing plates.

Took some time to work on this one. I had to repaint the body after it got hanger rash...don't think some of the paint goofs will ever wet sand out, so I'm moving on to chasis and suspension. Added headlights, worked on windshield and rear-view mirrors, chopped 32 grill with PE insert.

Glad to see you back on this one Thanks, really want to finish this one and the chopped 32 Tudor sedan. But calling the body shell paint job "done" is a big stumbling block for me ...and its holding up both of those projects. Reason is my recent experience at contests that I've been to lately, - the paint job is the "make or break" component to a build. And no amount of wet sanding and polishing seems to get rid of some of the orange peel or the fine microscopic scratches, especially on this 27 T. Paint jobs these days are the primary thing judges are concerned with....seems that a smooth high gloss paint job is the first thing on their checklist. Posted comments I've read on contest websites reinforce this attitude. The slightest appearance of orange peel or uneven paint in the finish is far more important than anything else...be it amount of detailing, scratch building, research and historical accuracy of parts and the subject matter. I go to these contests and it looks like basically out of the box models with high gloss paint jobs and a ton of decals under ten layers of gloss paint and future floor wax beat everything else. It may as well be a model car painting contest....I'm not even sure the high gloss jobs are realistic....they certainly draw attention - but what about realistic satin finish vehicles? The only exception is the weathered rust buckets that don't need the high gloss paint job. Sorry for the bitch session here, I guess I shouldn't bitch about it - as it challenges me to do a better job on the paint finish. As for subject matter, - NASCAR, billet Pro Street and factory stock models - even with their fantastic high gloss paint jobs just bore me. Thats why I like being here.

That flathead looks great in yellow and nice work on those headers also.
