This was My first Model in over 30 Years. Someone gave Me this 1/18th "American Graffiti" Merc as a Gift. It was so ugly, I thought I'd try to do something with it. I used sheetmetal, aluminum Rod and Bondo, Sculpted the body, made the side scoops, extended the fenders, etc. In other words, I got carried away but I'm glad I did 'cause it got Me started again ! Everything's pretty much homemade, not horribly accurate but what the heck, I still like it ! and the skirts really do fit, I had em off and didn't put em back on right !

Holy Jeebuz! Very nice work. The Hirohata Merc is probably my second favourite custom of all time, second only to the Sam Barris Merc. I wish this was on my shelf!

Wow, that thing is awesome. Danbury or Franklin mint makes a 1/24 one I think. But doing it yourself is sooo much cooler!
