. Agree, sometimes even a bone stock car is just as interesting a subject as a Custom or Race Car version is. The Stock Thames, Anglia, and Willys cars are the case in point. It is so rare especially in scale to see any of these three built in their factory stock or slightly modified configurations with say just a set of chrome reverse wheels. It’s refreshing to see someone backdating any Gasser to its stock roots. It is so rare that there are some who haven’t seen the subject modeled before, or at the most once or twice. In this case even though I have seen a full size Anglia/Thames Traveler, I’ve never seen one modeled so it’s a rather interesting subject.

Nice work! When I first saw this on the other thread, I thought you were using wood to do the wood structure and panel work, the way you’re doing it makes lots more sense. Like the fact that it’s going to pretty much look like a stocker too, I’ve only ever seen a couple of Anglia's done stock, same with the Willys coupes they look great as gassers but out of the ordinary as a Stocker! They call them “Travelers” in England, I embarrassed myself early on in my English car ownership calling a super nice looking Mini a “Woody” and was told that no matter what the Mark (that’s brand to us non-Euro Elitists, LoL!!) that the “proper term was Traveler! Strange. I've only ever heard the name Traveller in connection with the wood framed "estate" versions of the Morris Minor and Morris Mini, which were sold under that name. The Austin equivalent was the Mini Countryman. More upmarket woodies over here would be referred to as "shooting brakes".

I dig it; but it needs a set of Americans or Ansen slots under it! LOL! Do you have any plans on building it as a hot rod; or is this a stock build? That is what Dennis was getting at; not that there's an issue with it being a Woody or Traveling Wilbury! LOL! Yeah.. thats my thougts to. Traditional Rod & Kustoms are what we do. Do admire the work..

I can drop this one and go to the next if you all prefer. No shortage of projects on the bench here.

I'd put dual carbs & twice pipes on it, some wheels, and call it a hot rod!

How the heck have I missed this thread…? This project is just too damn awesome! I’ve always liked the looks of Revell’s Anglia and Thames, but this conversion looks amazing!
