Here's a faux-vivor I started last weekend at Chuck Darnell's Build n' Bull. Now with a generous donation from Craig Turner (cturner) I can start moving forward a gain. Continuing my current theme of builds based on Monogram hot rod kits, here is my current build, based on a highly modified Little T. Here's the "yard sale" Trying to do something a kid with some skills could have done when this kit was brand new. As an alternative to the raked stance of the OOB T, I decided to go for a low slung ride with some power. But I wanted people to scratch their heads a little trying to figure out how I got it this low. First glance at the frame shouldn't give it away to a casual observer (once it's all assembled), especially out front. I'll let the pics tell the story to see who is the first to figure the mods front and rear (other than the obvious removal of material from the rear spring crossmember) Here's the mock up to compare T with a stance right out of the box.

OH Good grief, a three wheeler,,, TRAK Police.. LoL! I have always liked the look of the Turtle Decked Little T, it just makes it look longer, lower and leaner! (Like a three wheeled Little T, a Leaner! LoL! Maybe you could give it a name like... Ilene! It kinda fits!)
Seriously, you've literally pried this one from the depths of glue-dom, emerging as something rather cool! I'll be watching this one too it's already turning out as nice as your previous early Monogram builds. I have a thing for those Monogram Little T's, Little Deuces, the Blue Beetle '29 RPU. Monogram had it all covered with these early kits, a T, an A and a Deuce.

Craig, these builds you're doing are really interesting. I left the hobby after the Big T tub came out and didn't return until around 2006 so all of these kits are unknown to me. The turtle deck is up so high it gives the build a 27 T look. I'm assuming that you needed to do that to clear the kicked up rear frame. Regardless it looks really great this way. What are you going to do with the front spring mount to frame horns area? The gap is pretty big although the suspension and headlights might cover it. I will certainly be following this one.

Your side by side pic with “Little Blackie” and the red three wheeler “Ilene” got my rather deranged mind thinking. I wonder what it would look like with the chrome mufflers on the outside of the framerails like almost right under the body. I do remember seeing a bucket or two back in the early - mid-sixties running Cherry Bombs or Smitties that way not quite straight off the collectors but almost. We’re waiting with baited breath to see the next installment!

Holidays and house projects have got me sidelined at the moment. It's still sitting on the bench, longingly calling my name. But I just can't find time to sit and work on it right now. Hopefully soon
