I can't believe I never started a thread on this model. My earliest pictures are from August 31 of this year but I think I started it more than a few years ago. For the body I used one of the resin 40 Willys bodies I got from Ed that I had cut the 40 grille out of for a previous project. I left just the bottom of the front fender that's just in front of the curved part of the door, then notching the fender gave me the clearance I would need to clear the door hinges.
It seems I never downloaded the first 6 pictures so I have to do that before I do anything else. I'll be back as soon as I can. Sorry for the wait guys.
OK, here's a picture showing what I left of the fender on the lower front of the body.

And one of the fender unit, also from Ed, with the lower inner portion of the fender with clearance for the small piece of fender remaining on the body.

After a lot of thinking about how I was going to hinge the nose, I had the idea shown in the next picture. the very front of the frame, where the "MOON" tank sits can be filed round for the tilt fulcrum, and a receiver could be made that attaches to the nose. It took some work but it turned out pretty good. I made a retainer to hold it all together in final assembly.

Joan's calling me to set the dinner table so I'll be back later.
Back! Other than the nose job, the rest of the build is pretty much out of the box. I had wanted to use the kit stock grille but the PE piece looked good so I went with it. I finished this model today, completing my fourth 40/41 Willys this year. Seven models all tolled this year, not bad at all!
