Right off the bat I have to thank many people for the inspirations they've unknowingly given me to start a new model. In this case it's an AMT 32 Ford Victoria. My plan is to build it with only old parts. So far, so good. The body has been kicking around for years, even had the rear quarter windows filled to make a sort of Sedan Delivery. I even drew a line around the belt line as reference to cut the top off for a Phaeton version. I found the old Vicky frame and popped off the drag suspension. The rear of the frame was already cut off. The fender unit was originally going to be a replacement for an old 32 Coupe of mine that I restored a couple of years ago. The new contour of the front of the fenders is for this build. The engine is from the AMT 40 Ford coupe kit as is the front axle, which is dropped up into the frame until the metal axle is touching the frame. The custom 32 Sedan kit grille is from my junk, along with the AMT 58 Chevy hardtop kit carbs. The rear wheels/tires are from a parts lot I got a few years ago. Size wise the wheels were too small for the rims so the original builder used masking tape to fill the gap, and I used .010 sheet stock to fix that issue. The front wheel/tire set is from the AMT Chevy II funnycar kit I built back in the 60's. Like what you've done so far. Nice touch to change the doors to a 3 window style. Never would have thought to do it, but it looks great. Glad you got rid of the rear window panels.

Ditto Craig's comments! I'm a fan of those fenders for sure.

Triple Dito, Craig's comments! My favorite thing you've done here is the 3W style doors, almost gives it a '34 Victoria with '32 firewall look. It sure looks good enough that maybe Ford should have used the 3W doors on the Victoria, giving it the higher end look that the Victoria body was meant to have in the first place!

Color choice is excellent! Thanks for posting the pics . . .I'll have show then to my wife to prove that I am not the only one who uses draws to hold painted parts. :}

Yeah, but do you use tongue depressers and masking tape to hold those parts like I do? Gary

Yeah, but do you use tongue depressers and masking tape to hold those parts like I do? Gary Construction shims with masking tape or blue tape wrapped back on it self

Looks great Gary. Kind of a fuchsia color on my monitor. Is that correct. Whatever it is, it looks sweet.
