Looking forward to it Paul. To my eye the slotted front wheels look better, but it's your build. Hopefully you'll bring the back of your Fiat down. I see it's hitting on the push bar right now.

Paul - Ooooh, that's some real eye-candy you've got going, it's like dripping off the monitor! LoL!!
That Bantam Altered (prototype) is just beyond Kool! Then there is your start on the Bantam Altered, which is equally nice, totally period correct, almost beyond period correct kool! That six is off the chart reminds me of Kay Sissel and his six powered T Altered. I'll admit to hoarding a couple original and a couple more resin Bantam Roadster bodies for some "Special Projects". Because of this model's koolness factor, that "rare" body of yours hikes this up to "Special Project" category in my book, build on!
Fiat Topolino, (The Little Mouse), A steel bodied Topolino just harkens back to Drag Racing's Golden Era! I am in total like of what you have going on with the Fiat as well. AMT '53 F100 Hemi is a great choice for motorvation it's such a nice stockish configuration! As the build goes on, it figures that you will find the proper fit for the body on the frame, so it's not too troublesome (yet). I'm sort of in agreement with Dave, the wire wheels take the whole feel of the Altered, then again, (I sorta just realized that the Bantam has wire wheels on it too and it looks great). However, with the earlier frame style under the Fiat, the Mag Wheels might look better, wouldn't count the wires out just yet though. Whatever graphics you choose, and the overall appearance is going to dictate wheel choice. So, don't be puttin' those wire wheels away just yet!
Both of these cars are on their way "to Koolsville and beyond"!

Did the chassis and fitted the bodies down lower and did the needed body work on the Fiat. Filling a few seams and removing some body to clear the DeSoto Power Dome Hemi valve covers.

Both look great Paul. I take back what I said about the wire wheels. With that bit of chrome they look right at home.

Paul, Lookin' Gooood, Man! Both are shaping up into some TRAK-able Altereds. The Topplino needs to lose the Funny Car style headers and find a set of Fueler non-weedburner zoomie headers to be more appropriate with the Pre-1969 Altereds. Other than the headers I think you are spot on, that's just my two cents though.

Me Happy!

Paul, Those headers make a world of a difference in the Topolino's overall looks all for the better!
