Hey folks, I lurk a bunch but don't post very often. I'm still building when I have time which isn't too often. Thought I'd share what I have been working on. Base of this build is AMTs 1925 T roadster kit. The kit hot rod frame has been modified with the front portion of the frame from a Monogram super modified dirt track racer. This allowed me to use the front axle, hairpins, tube bumper and nose from the modified. Wheels and tires from the Revell 30 Model A kit. Engine and trans mounts were scratch built to mount the V8-60 from a Revell Kurtis midget racer. Quick change center section from my parts box was modified to work with the T kits rear trailing arms and axle bells. The QC was converted to an open drive. Grabbed a driveshaft from my parts stash and the kit yokes/U-joints were turned down on my lathe to fit into a piece of aluminum tube trimmed to the right length. The nose on the super modified was a good start but it looked a little funny at the very front to me. Plus it had no grill opening. Since I was already stealing a whole bunch of parts out of the Kurtis midget kit I figured I would rob one of the noses from it too. Cut the very front part of the midget nose off and grafted it onto the front of the super modified nose. Made for a much better profile IMO. Most of the parts in the pics are just mocked up so some stuff isn't aligned 100% yet or might look a little crooked. Also a bunch of touch ups to do yet. More to come as I get farther into the build.

Veeery cool start. Nice job engineering different kit parts to work together. Looking forward to a full body-on mock up.

Very nice work. The blended nose and your chassis work are really well done. Paul

That Track nose looks really good. Not always a good look...but yours makes it.
