Got a bit bogged down on the Stude Gasser & took a break from the workbench for a couple of weeks. Getting things gathered up for these projects got me back to the bench. Finding the Tony Nancy double kit on top is what finally tied everything together: Since the block in the roadster kit was designed for & had a trans that will work in the Fiat chassis, it provided the Nailhead motivator for my Parts Pack Bantam roadster Altered: The Fiat is providing the rest of the model, along with the FI from a Showboat engine. The crudely & barely outlined door lines were sanded away to preserve the body lines: I did use the optional cover for the spare tire location; I figured with the door lines eliminated, this could be a fiberglass copy of a Bantam made just for drag racers: The other Fiat will get the Revell Parts Pack Poncho engine. Since that lacks a trans, I'm robbing the one from the Ford 427 in the Fiat kit: And yes, progress is being made on the Stude gasser; I want to get the bodywork done all the way around & get a coat of primer on it before shooting more pics. That will come soon, just slowly getting everything correct & flawless there.

Wouldn't these be Moore projects? Looking forward to these. I also have the Bantam body, which I want to build as a hot rod. Looking forward to seeing what you do with these.

Essentially a 100% Revell based parts box stock combo, including ignition wiring, since it's in the Fiat kit. Yeah, the Fiat was released under the Atlantis name, but to me it's a Revell kit. Same with my always seeing the 34 Ford pickup as AMT, even when released by Lindberg Due to the tooling for all these kits being designed & created in the same time frame, they all "feel" the same to work with, & they all feel very classic/vintage. And it's a throwback to those Parts Pack days that I was too young to experience originally, which is a blast!

Excited to see where this goes. The challenge with the Parts Pak's, including the stuff from Atlantis, is you get some sort of vague directions with pictographs that kinda-sorta show you what to do. That said I love the things. And I am old enough to have built some of them back in the day.

Since I was born in 1961 & the copyright dates on the Bantam parts & Fiat parts are 1962 & 1963 respectively I was a wee bit too young then! Even the double kit versions came out in 1966 & I didn't complete my 1st model until I was 1969 when I was 8. So, this is a blast!
