Great start! Everybody needs to build some comp coupe models [he said while avoiding looking in the mirror].

Looks like a good start! Don't see many 1/8 scale models in here, and I've never built one myself (they are huge, just don't have the space ), so it's glad to see one being built. How good is the parts availability in this scale? Are there many kits available or is it almost always aftermarket parts when you need something special?

Gonna watch this one. I have a similar build in mind, although in 1/25 scale, and am not sure of how certain things are done. For instance, the mounting of the body to the chassis and the building of interior tin. So, build on and educate me.

I think I'd go out of my mind detailing a 1/8 model, but interested to see it progress.

That is a cool lookin build. The paint on the engine looks amazing. What did you use ? I used Alclad chrome over gloss white, it gives a different look than black , more like polished aluminum

I just got some 1/25 stuff from a guy on eVilbay who goes by HOTRODZRUS33, he has a ton of 1/8 scale stuff that fits with just about everything we build here, including this 1/8 scale Comp Coupe...
I picked up one of his '37 Lincoln Zephyr dashes for one of the AMT '36 Fords in my stash line to get eventually built. Nice piece, no holes super nice finish, will be checking out some of his small parts further down the line.
