Hi there, while I was surfing around this board I got the idea to built another rod... I was playing with my selfmade frame and I just started to draw another frame for an A Model Ford and milled it out... I channeld the body and cut out a small section to the pickupbed for the rear suspension, chopped the windshieldframe and that´s what I get after two evenings of "playing around" Basekit is the Revell 29 pickup kit....no idea about the engine or color.Maybe a weathered look will match perfect for it Thanks for looking, Chris

Hi, Tires are not so hard to get here in Germany...and if they aren´t I order them in the USA.Those wheels are made by myself from the originals a friend gave to me...I have amde a lot of wheels for trucks and casted them but not so much for cars or rods.....I still need a lot of parts for rods...and sometimes it´s easier for me to do some scratchbuilding than searching around the net, lol. Cheers,Chris

I like it! Long & low. Great profile. I think a weathered finish would look great.

Lots of potential here! Weathered is always a good way to go on a rod. It's up to you, but you know you can fall back on the dirty approach if you don't like your first try otherwise. ;D Keep us posted, it's great so far, I want to see more!

Hi there, Thanks for the compliments. made some progress to this one...Front and rear suspension are neraly finished.I´ll plan to drill small holes where the black points are and add some small hexnuts and wire.Engine is preassambeld.I want to build some aircraftseats for it.The round thing on the bed will be the start of the fueltank... more pictures on my Fotki-albumThanks for looking, Cheers,Chris

Hi, Thanks Bob.No,it isn´t resin,it´s the dechromed frontend from the kit.I´ve done the same to some more parts of the kit because the chrome was partially bad and I don´t want to much chrome for this one.
Cheers,Chris

twist do you think you could build me a frame like the one you got under your. I was working on a 29 ford truck but my frame didnt work and i trashed it. I was gonna use a 69 camero rearend and front suspension like your however it didn't work for me. I wanted to finish it because it was a vision i had of a truck and now i cant do anything without a frame.
