This one is really good! My favorite by far... The stressing of the image (the same as in the ORCHID pic) really works! And the Gus Maanum stuff looks great with a splash of color... Will make killer T-shirts! Very cool gift to make a T-shirt up of the RAPTOR image for your buddy! Great present no doubt... Keep at it! ;D BTW... I'm assuming that cowboy hat wearing fellow in your signature is all your doing? It is one of the best signatures I've seen from an artist! Very nice personal stamp...

Thanx again Jon! I like that effect, too. It's called posterizing and it's used to reduce the number of colors that need to be reproduced when printing. In the case of the 5-window it's a little more complicated because what I did there was posterize the image to create broad flat surfaces, then strip out the color entirely and re-introduce the green and black areas where they were appropriate. Photoshop is a wonderful creative tool! BTW... I'm assuming that cowboy hat wearing fellow in your signature is all your doing? It is one of the best signatures I've seen from an artist! Very nice personal stamp... I'm afraid I'm a thief by nature when it comes to graphics. Sort of like sampling in music. The "signature" is "appropriated" from Hobo art. It's an image known as "The Colossus of Roads" that has been drawn 10,000 times or more on the sides of boxcars throughout the Southwest and beyond. I can't remember who it's ascribed to originally but the artist appears in the brilliant documentary "Who Is Bozo Texino" by Bill Daniel ( ). I first used it on the side of the Tube Rat where it went completely unnoticed. I really like it so, like hundreds of others, I stole it. It looks right as a sort of bogus signature... And I recommend "Who Is Bozo Texino" without reservation to anyone who may be interested! ( www.billdaniel.net/ )

This is my second year heading down to the Bay Area for the NNL West. I stay with my friend Raul Perez, a really good car modeler but I’m afraid not very TRaK compatible since he has a decidedly contemporary street rodder bent to his builds. As mentioned above, last year I made him a T-Shirt featuring his most recent build. I thought I would do the same this year. I also made myself one as well with stuff on mine that might help people recognize me and maybe come up and say hello. It seemed to work last year, so I’m kinda creating a sort of tradition I guess. The front to my shirt was already posted on this thread so I apologize for repeating myself! Raul’s shirt is a surprise, but he doesn’t come over to TRaK very much so I’m guessing he won’t see it. It features his very nice ’40 Ford street rod based on a stretched Revell Willys street rod chassis, a very tasty and subtle top chop and pie cut hood, and the Willys Hemi with the carbs from the Revell ’32 5-window. Raul’s Shirt:Front:Back:My Shirt:Front:Back: Thanx for lookin’ B.
