That's definately a different and interesting color. Will it remain flat or do you plan to cover it in a gloss clear? Thanks, I plan on leaving it flat. or suede finish Dennis, as it really pops like that. ;D Got to get on and finish the engine now and paint the wheels etc.

Adam, i do remember you describing this color and how you were mixing it !!!!! Orange Sherbert is the perfect name, i really like where you've taken this, mate !!!!!...you do realize now, that you'll have to do an identical paint on another '36 and spray it with clearcoat, don't you ?...i'll bet it would be drop-dead gorgeous !!!!!

Thanks Duane ;D Yeh i was thinking that exact same thing Duane, Only problem is finding another one!! nobody sells AMT or Monogram kits over hear anymore at all. You just can't buy them anywhere? All hobby shops have hear is Tamiya... Tamiya... And more F**king Tamiya!!!! Thats it, oh and a few Revell of Germany kits, mostly formula 1 cars and BMW's and Mercedes. No nice hot rods or American iron. And you can't even buy them on ebay anymore. No one wants to ship them to the U.K and the few that do want $30+ for shipping! I think once the kits I all ready have are built, that will be it. Only person I've come across on ebay with reasonable shipping is a lady who sells Jimmy flinstone body's. Phew feel better for getting that off my chest LOL ;D

What are you planning on doing with the wheels, Adam? And have you tried Model Express? I dont know how much they would charge to ship from Canada, but I would sure expect a lot less than ebay.

Hey there Glenn, i'm planning on leaving the rear wheels steel or maybe painting them pearl white? (prob go with steel though) and was going to mix up some gunmetal and gold paint for the front wheels to give them a raw magnesium look. ;D The engine Block is painted pearl white but all the bits and bob's, blower etc are being painted in metal finishes, No chrome. I think the only chrome part on the car will be the grill and rear light surrounds. Ooh i'll have a look at that site cheers Glenn. I would love to get my hands on the new revell-monogram 36 ford. then I can try out a gloss version

Thumbs up for the steel and gunmetal on the rims. I think it will really stand out agains that orange. I like your idea for the engine too, I agree with no chrome, it would just take away from the look!
