some of these remind me of the saying: just because you could doesn't mean you should.

Dual coil overs on the rear, Airhart discs on the front, E.T. mags on skinny Firestones all around. 1965. Didn't want to clutter up the thread by re-posting the pic, but check out the Model A delivery and the Mura Bros' Willys in the background!

some of these remind me of the saying: just because you could doesn't mean you should. Sure - I know it's one of the ugliest kustom cars ever, but most old timers recognize it right away! 'The Pink Beast'! My project is below... I love historic cars - whether or not they are fine examples of styling doesn't make any difference. What matters is their historic value. All kustom cars weren't Hirohata Merc classic styles. There were a ton of horrible examples of kustom work even if the quality of work was good. I had the project at Santa Maria and it got more looks and comments from the crowd than the nicest models out there. All of the experienced guys recognized the car. I know it'll get some negative comments, but I figure those that know their rod and kustom history will dig on the fact it's being done. Even if the real car was a waste of a 40 Merc convertible sedan...

Lots to like or dislike here. Note the dual pin WW's and wide rears. Circa 1965.
