Well, if you have another fender unit I'd start again with that. I like the grille shell you added, but the fender trailing mods, not so much. Coves maybe, like the ElMatador. Was done a lot way back. The running boards, I dunno. Smoothed, sculptured, or? I think something needs to be there for counterbalance of that tall roofline. I hope to see you continue with this. Just my 2 cents here, I liked it better with the running boards.

Just my 2 cents here, I liked it better with the running boards. Thanks guys. I agree. In a perfect world I’d run tune headers as the running boards. I worked on it a bit more last night and it looks a tad bit better. Channeled the body and radius’d a bit more. I’ll post some photos when I get home.

Hmm...here are a couple suggestions that might work: 1. Side pipes that add visual mass to the rocker-panel area. They could be single fat ones, or multiple skinny ones... 2.The body is perhaps over-channeled (look how low the cowl is compared to the front fenders and nose!)...and one way to reverse that a little would be to cut the bodysides and cowl/lower windshield loose and angle them upwards...there will still be a dramatic rake, but it gets the cowl more even with the front clip. The gaps at the bottom could be filled with plastic and/or puttied and blended like crazy, like a lot of actual 60s models were... Here's a quick photoshop to show what I mean:

Hmm...here are a couple suggestions that might work: Yeah, what he showed in the retouched photos: Spex's body mods AND drugstorecowboy's multiple pipes in the rocker panel area should look really good. It's the Sixties, baby, all over again!

Glad to see this wasn't put away and seems to have renewed life with new and good ideas. Gary
