That looks cool. The bullet taillights really help the rear styling. I never would have thought that a Nomad roof would "work" on the Ford but it does, it really does! It might have been funny if it had a Mopar engine then it could be named The Big Three. I hadn't seen the build thread until just now. You really made a jewel out of a poor beginning...and the auto-translation of the captions was entertaining as well.

So I thought, "what a beautiful Ford wagon", then it hit me! Holy cow this has had a Chevy Nomad roof transplant. Beautiful job on the swap. Gary

Very cool, yes, very cool! I spotted the Nomad roof right off; but it works well! Perfect color choice too!

Nice, kind of has a Crown Victoria flair to it, like the B-pillars without the chrome wrap. Probably wouldn’t have thought of topping off a Victoria with a Nomad roof either. The rest of the car is stunning as well.

Good proportions! Do like the 46-48 badge on tailgate.

Beautiful! My brain tells me "look, a Nomad" based on those iconic roof ribs, but then I have to force myself to "see" the Ford features and realize it's mostly Ford, despite the roof. It worked out incredibly well, excellent work

Beauty. Nice job grafting the roof on to the '56 body. I also like what you did with the grill bar. The stance, wheels and color all work well with the conversion. If it had the Crown Vic's tiara you could call it a "Crown Ranch".

David, don't replace the grille, it's what makes your '56 look so elegant !

I really like this! The Nomad roof looks like a natural fit. I did something similar with a '58 Edsel and the Del Rio roof. This model makes me want to do a '56 also! Nice work! Add another vote for keeping the grille bar. What's it from?
