I posted the very beginnings of this in another thread, but it's been suggested that I give it its own build thread. This is the just reissued '63 Nova wagon kit, kitbashed with the AMT '66 Nova hardtop. So far, I've reworked the quarter panels and tailgate, and glued the roof on. And thanks to our own Ed Fluck, who pointed out the super-thick A-pillars, I thinned those down too. The new door lines are just penciled in for now.

Nice work aft! Any WIP pictures? Or description of how you made the corrections. I'm definitely interested in this one, keep posting, and thanks. Gary

Gary If you look closely at the side view, you can see where I reverse pie-cut the tops of the quarters, and added plastic to the bottoms of the quarters. Still have a lot of subtle tweaking to do to the taillights and tailgate area. Seems like every time I look at my reference photos, I spot something I didn't notice before.

Planning on a stock height cowl induction hood? If so, I make one for the '66 Nova.

I only asked because of the photo you posted in the other thread; which showed a cowl hood on that light blue Nova wagon! LOL!

That looks great, any chance this will be done in resin?

That looks great, any chance this will be done in resin? Thanks! I doubt it will get cast. I'm sure someone will probably do one; it's a pretty straightforward conversion. Bandit Resins used to do one, but it's no longer available.

Got her up on all 4's. This is a table shot from yesterday's KKIM meeting. Most of the putty work is done now, and after mocking it up with the Pegasus Sovereigns I finally decided on the "flavor" I'm going for: it'll be a surf wagon. And yes, I'm fully aware that the rear bumper is tucked in way too much. I'll fix that.

Yes, surf wagon means it stays on TRaK!
You guys don't know how close Randy came to pulling this one off here guys. And you have to see his work in person to appreciate how surgical his work is.

Non-stock wheels too? If so it would have my vote. But I've been outvoted in the past on these things
