I was inspired to build this one by memories from my childhood of a similar car that I saw race at Cordova Dragway. If my memories are correct I recall it being run as a B/gas street roadster (UDRA)... Although I've had people argue that it had to have been run as an altered in that configuration. My reply.... It's just a freakin' model for cryin' out loud!!!!!! The Revell Healey body was mounted on a shortened "Winged Express" chassis... Engine is a Revell Parts Pack 283 with a parts box blower... Air scoop was made by molding two 3 in 1 annual kit side scoops together. The cover over the passenger compartment was made from an "industrial" paper towel soaked in white glue and water... This is my favorite view.... Wanna race? ?

You know, in that configuration I love it! It reminds me of a little MG that used to run around here with a blown small block & wheel tubs. Yikes!!

Yeah, doesn't matter if your memory is workin' perfectly or not, Marty. The finished produce is outasite. I wish I had a few more of those scoops layin' around. Maybe a mold is in order, eh?

By the way, what kit did you use the headlight bezels from? I'm thinking about using the ones from AMT's '33 Willys for mine...

LOL I honestly don't know for sure what kit they came from.... They're just something that I dug out of the parts box.... I think that they might be from AMT's '53 Studebaker.
