Yep, a whole AMT '57 nose on a AMT '55 Sedan. They are left over parts from another in process build. Recycling at it's best! ;D
This was a wild hair that came on me for a club theme car. All spur of the moment. I'm thinkin' the 409, 'cause I just like that mill.
I'm hopin' so, because I had a real good idea for this theme, and everything has just come together really well on it so far.

An update on my street gasser: A decal, "In Memory of...." was added to the names on the trunk lid. Any of you from NE Ohio might appreciate the tribute to Ernie Anderson. He was "THE Man" in that area during the '60s.

That's lookin' neat, MP! What kit did you source the wheels from?
I really like that color combo.

The wheels were donated by my son, from a Revell '69 Camaro. I stripped them in the "purple pool" and painted them with Duplicolor Chrome. That stuff is great, and not as much hassle as Alcad.
This is not the first time I have done surgery on '55s and '57s. These were actually leftover parts from another project. I needed something for our club's monthly theme and the idea came to me to use these leftover parts.
On a side note about "Ghoulardi", he was the host of "Shock Theater" on WJW TV8 in Cleveland for many years in the 60s, till he went to Hollywood for acting and voice-overs. The man was more popular in Cleveland than Santa Claus. No kidding!
