here's another build from the past year ... as always ' box stock ' can be taken to mean various things .. ? as for me ... it's the stock that is found in every box that ends up on some other car ! take one '29 pickup cab and chop the living daylights out of it .. find another '32 chassis/rail ( from a fresh box ) ... get those nasty pre-loved big 'n bigger whitewalls ... and something special for that engine area !! a bit more cutting and fitting and .. ... . .. any takers on that engine .. ? it fits in there like a glove .. . ... anyone ? how 'bout some paint .. a little bit of detail .. and some 'early' hero shots !!

Duesenberg ran I-8 DOHC in the J model and it isn't one of the older ones that I can tell, but still way cool. I love the different engine. SBC is great, but odd engines are more interesting and can be just as pretty as a dolled up chevy mill.

ok .. WHAT'S THE ENGINE !
thanks for all your replies .... but
i don't know if you all are going to be upset or disapointed or just plain shocked .... you even still might think it's cool !!
the motor is a 1942-1945 Maybach HL120 from a WW2 German tank .. the twist is it's 1:35 scale !
it works for me !!!
