well channel is to basically do a "body drop" over the rails.. Section can be up and down or horizontal. horizontal will make the car look lower and vertical will make it shorter....
i will see if i can find reference on chopping this car, maybe someone else knows here.

Here's a 37 that I chopped, after chopping it, the Body looked too thick so I sectioned it to give it better proportions . I think it looks better sectioned if You're gonna chop it.

i gotta agree with Outlaw. tell ya what Rollinoldskoo, you made a helluva difference in the look with no more than you done but a chop would really make this '37 look cool.
Bill, your '37 is one i've not seen before. DAMN SON, i wish i could chop and section like that.

i like the section job you did. i just did the same to the coupe kit. i took off the bottom of the body up to the lower door hinge. these cars look a bit too tall or top heavy to me, but sectioning them brings them down nicely and makes a nice proportion. nice job! Dave

thanks for the input guys.... i think i'll finish this body like this and chop the next one maybe.... i got one of them "Dick Tracy" 36 ford kits lined up waiting.... i'm promising myself not to touch it till i finish this one up.... i got more than enought lowrider projects in the works... u can ask Bob or wagonguy about those....

With the cool work you've done so far, I'd s###can the flat black idea. I think it would hide the work you've put into it. If you want a flat finish go with a lighter color, heck it looks good with the color it is now. Off course this is just my 2 cents worth.

Looks good so far. Keep goin and, the guys are right... not mayn leaned windshields until recent years. It's tougher ta chop one whan ya gotta add plastic but it's definitely old school stuff.

Nice section work so far! Chop that about 4" and you'll be set!
