here is a pic of the '48 convertible on my bench right now. this is how low it will sit. it has a Camaro subframe and 12-bolt rear axle and will have a small-block Chevy in it too. i wasn't going to chop the windshield at first, but i think it looks alot better that way. Dave

i cut down the seats too so they sit lower in the interior. it looked like you would be driving with your head all bent down if i didn't! not much fabricating stuff on this build. i'm trying to keep it simple, maybe. Dave

i have considered bringing the front back up a bit and dropping the back. i like the taildragger style too and this one may look better that way. now it's more of a hotrod stance with the rake towards the front. i'm not sure, i may change it. Dave

It sits pretty well the way it is. I guess the only way to get one of these to sit this low is to swap out the frame- damn Revell for not giving us a lowered suspension!

Dave I think it would look best as a taildragger with the back slammed. To Me, Carson topped cars should be down in the back otherwise, they look like Modern Rods......but that's just Me! I'm sure You'll make it Kool!

here is an updated pic with the back down. i knew as cool as the stance was before, it just wasnt right for this car with the Carson style top. i put stock height spindles back in the front and dropped the back. i have to rebuild some floor, but that's no problem. Dave
