Chris, in one picture in the link that HRT posted for me(beautiful close-ups by the way), it looked like Al had a tube front axle. i take it that you're talking when Al was originally built and not the fiberglass copies. the front axle on the FG Big Al is a tube.
my Father had a '34 4dr. and it had an I-beam if i remember correctly. i hope that if you find that spread that you have you'll either email it to me or even snail mail if you can or want to.
PF, thank you for finding this shot for me. either it won't blow up or, i'm too computer stupid to know how to do it lol. i'm thinkin that it's my SECOND thought.

ooohh, BTW Chris !!! i DID check our S-I, and YES, they are coming out with the parts pack you mentioned. it showed a picture and, DAMN, it's EXACTLY what i'm lookin for !!! it looks to be a very detailed piece and, i'm sure that i can and will find uses for everything in the pack. hhmm, an Allison powered T Roadster !!!

thank you Chris !!! i checked the pictures out and DAMN !!! some very coool help and, i'm STILL in love with Big Al !!! WAIT !!! did that even SOUND RIGHT Big Al's a car, guys !!! you knew that anyway. lol.
