thanks for the comments guys. ;D
The frame is not that fragile at all, kind of made sure when i was drilling that the holes stayed in the center. Only had one hole crack under pressure and that was easily fix.
The motor is from my parts box collection. Got it from a vendor selling parted out kits and pieces. It also came with a 2-4brl intake setup
thanks

During the early fifties in the interest of getting the rod lighter and lighter they not only drilled the frame, the front axle and anything else they could...sometimes to the detriment of the structural integrity of the vehicle. Must've been hell, going balls out and having your hot rod fall apart.

Life ain't any kinder if your still flyin' down lifes freeway at over "double-nickels". My bod tells me on a regular basis that I'm too old for some stuff! Oh well! IT's fun while it lasts, I'll pay for it later.... Lightening was a really cool and inexpensive way to go faster, but, wasn't always applied in the smartest fashion. I have seen some pics that would almosty make you wanna chuck cookies! This frame looks JUST RIGHT, not too light or flimsy, and not too bulky either.

Yea i have been enjoying the drag cars here lately and with the double dragster frame i got at the last meeting there's another in the works, but this will be the last drag i do for a little while. Work is the only thing slowing this build down right now should have more time to work on it after the Super Bowl push. Next on the bench is the Modelhaus 50 Custom Cadillac ;D, it just got its first coat of primer and I really want to work on that 41 Chevy panel by RMR that I got at the Toledo NNL. ;D
