would you guys beleive that with me being a dihard rod builder and my 20 something years of building i have never built a 34 Ford anything i think it is time i scare up a few 34 coupe kits and get to hacking, especially after seing this build, it gives me a lil inspiration and a few ideas Do yourself a favor and get the AMT '34 5 window released last year. Make sure it's the version that says 2n1 boldly on the box. It has a red street rod on the boxtop, exactly like the late 90's release. But the new 2n1 has all the cool stock parts too, including the hop-up parts for the beautiful flattie.

found this one for you guys again. it was back a "few" pages! Dave I saw this one when I first joined up and was going through the 'On The Freakin' Shelf' sub-group and was just floored by it. I didn't comment because I didn't want to be some a-hole who digs up old threads. Although looking back, I probably should have..... This thing is too sweet!!!

I don't know where the hell I was when you first posted this, Dave. I thought I kept on top on new posts. But I'm glad you regurgitated this. I'm floored. Of your great builds, this baby is grabbing me. This has so much freekin attitude, it's unreal. Cone on the generator? Who'da thought. Great idea. Thanks for sharing.

Lookin back at old posts is not an a-hole thing, Dub. New guys miss a lot by not doing so. And posters usually always appreciate comments. When TRaK started up we had a flood of mind blowing builds right off the bat. Probably why this one got by me..

That is old style. To bad Revell quit making those 33-34 Fords. Very traditional, Right?

That is old style. To bad Revell quit making those 33-34 Fords. Very traditional, Right? Shouldn't ever be a question. (I ain't raggin on you modeler, it is just a testament to the "state" of our collective passion here at Traditional Rods and Kustoms). This is an excellent example of something that "might have been". With the flood of "suede rods" or "rat rods", or even "rust rods" in the last 10 years, this kind of car has been mis-identified as one of the above mentioned styles. We here at TRAK would prefer to call this style traditional. Some would call it "Ol' Skool", I prefer to call it what it really is. Period Perfect! Grab some old iron outta Pops barn, paint it if you got the money, chop it if it looks kool, throw whatever mill you got layin' around the garage into the thing, put a seat or two in it, fill 'er up with gas, oil, and water, and head to town and haunt the burger joint or drive-in theatre. So what if it ain't on the cover of the "Little Pages", or Hot Rod, it's YOURS and it is kool! Nice build Dave! ![;)](http://images9.fotki.com/v120/photos/4/504634/8781014/3-vi.gif)

i got the idea for the paint from a car at Vern Tardel's Ford ranch. the car there is a '32 i believe, but it had this awesome well worn yellow paint. they cleaned it up a bit, but left the "patina" that everyone is soo crazy for.
this kit "out of the box" is horrible, a nasty billet style rod that just looks all wrong. i saw the potential though in the chopped top, so i gave it a new life!
glad you guys like it! Dave

I still love this build...another of Dave's "Models" I would drive. Still not certain they are smaller than 1:1.
