I was inspired by an article in the latest Car Kulture Deluxe magazine to start my own `56 T-bird Gasser, this is just the first mock-up still trying to decide on the engine, would like to go with a 427 SOHC motor, but not sure if that is TRaKable or not, if not I will go a 427 side oiler. not a real good pic, but it should show the idea of what I am going for!!

427 SOHC engine was introduced in 1964 and several drag cars ran them in the 60's. So, it sure is TRaKable

Much like that article mentioned I usually think of the Suzanne Summers bird and never really cared for those cars, BUT that car really had some balls to it and I kinda dug it myself. Cant wait to see your take on it!

I'm back to work on this one, found a SOHC motor for it and robbed the suspension from a Big John Willys.

I'm dig'n in John! I've got one in the works too........on the back burner right now; and nothing worth posting pics of yet. The only thing I hope you change are the crappy ass front wheels from the Big John Mazmanian Willys kit...........they just don't cut the mustard so to speak! Now, if you went with the smaller kidney bean front Halibrands found in the AMT '33 Willys coupe or panel van kits (or the correct 5 lug front Halibrands I cast); or a pair of Fentons it would look much better in my opinion. The other thing that bugs me are the wide front tires that go with the Revell front wheels.

Here it is with better front wheels and tires, I also got the hole cut in the hood, the hood will probably need some fine tuning yet!!
