I think a lot of us have "parts box" hot rods on our shelves... little jalopies cobbled together out of left over parts from past projects. This one is mine. I was going for an early 60s show-and-go vibe with this one, so I used the Ala Kart dash and steering wheel and some flashy paint. Here's the rundown: - Body, interior and rear suspension from AMT's '29 roadster
- Chassis, front suspension and wheel/tire combo from Revell's '31 sedan kit
- ARDUN equipped flathead from Revell's recent '50 Ford truck kit
- Tail lights were lifted from AMT's old Graffitti coupe
- Deuce grill shell from some old Revell kit of unkown origin
- Scratchbuilt exhaust, velocity stacks and fuel lines
- Paint is Duplicolor rattle can with clear coat
Talk is cheap... here are the pics. The body is channeled over the frame rails, and combining the AMT rear suspension with the Revell frame brought the rear end down another 3 scale inches without modifying any parts. I may yet add some pinstripe decals to the decklid, but I'll leave it alone for a few days and decide if it needs something more. All in all, a fun little build that went together quite quickly, for something that didn't have an instruction sheet! (ignore the fact that there are no lower rad hoses... you didn't see that)

Bad Penny, Huh? Looks like a shiny, new penny to me! Excellent build, not a single thing is out of place! Revell's gonna sell a bunch of those 50 p/u's... The Ardun is the new swap engine of choice!
