Not too long ago I ran across the WIP thread and wondered when we'd get to see this finished, and here it is! I think you did a hell of a good job on the re-creation. The body work is unusually cool and so cleanly executed. I love all the period chassis pieces and blown Buick too!
Is the frame Alclad or actually chrome plated?

Florian, I'll get to that picture tomorrow if I can. I had thought about it when I was taking these pictures, but forgot to put it in because I was in such a rush to get the finished model pictures done.
Dennis, I had several of the parts plated by ChromeTech USA. This included the frame with exhaust system, the gas tank, the steering wheel and column, and the spoon gas pedal that I made. The resin rear axle assembly and the AMT 40 Ford Buick (modified) exhaust manifolds were also chromed by Robert. I recommend him for anyone that needs this service. Gary

This is downright cool! Roth would drool on this one! This is the modeling I see in the old rags and it's what I think is so cool of the years gone. It's perfect....everything about it suggests a historical build.

hell yes!!! . My favorite part is that this is an idea that was completely original, its not based off of anything else, yet it has a real genuine look... Its also really cool that you still have the original version, and that you were able to recreate such an amazing tribute to it.
