Tim, FWIW, I have to agree with Duane, the difference shown in your comparison photos is pretty small in my opinion. Finding somebody to scan, reduce, and print your decals might take a bit of searching. I think only an Alps printer will be able to print the white/red lettering that you need.

That sucks about your decals. I got some copies of the AMT 32 Ford, the 40, and the Badman. They are all like yours, a tad bit too large. The Badman was supposed to be by Billy Gooche, but theres no way it will fit on the quarter panels above the trim.
The thing that confuses me, is why would anyone go to the trouble of making decals that are fubar-ed up? Yea yea, money, but no one is getting rich on ten buck decals.

I think the reason why mine are so big is that when they were made, there was only the 1/24th scale bodies available so that's what they made them for. As for other cars, I can't say why, maybe laziness to not take the time and effort to re-size them?

Looking really great. The engine is amazing. Where did you get/how did you make the spark plugs and spark plug boots? They look incredibly realistic.

The boots I can not take credit for since I bought those but the plugs I did make using aluminum hex stock and then turned them down. The really small tip though I had to actually use a fine file because I kept breaking the tips off with the tool.

Hey guys, I'm in need of a 1950's helmet like the one Marshall Teague is wearing or close to it. 1/25th scale of course Any kit or resin that would be available?

Tim, your racecar is just about prefect and the correct driver will finish it off. The easiest to find one that I think is closest is the "old fashioned" head/helmet in Fujimi's drivers set from their 'Garage and Tools' series, incl. 3 driver figs.(2male,1 female) 5 heads (3 helmeted) and a trophy girl. I also have a resin standing figure wearing almost the exact helmet you are looking for and what appears to be a WWII flight suit, of unknown origin. I got it from a vendor at NNL West at least 5 years ago. Sorry I don't currently have a working camera, so no photos at this time, hope this helps.

I have that but all I need is the helmet. I guess I could hog out the head and make a mold of it. ;D
