i painted this thing today and put hopefully the last coat of clear on it just a little while ago. the color is Tamiya's metallic black with the kit supplied flame decals on the front fenders. i sprayed the clear over the decals to seal them in and get rid of the edges. so far so good! the interior is pearl white with a Hemi orange dash and steering. i painted the firewall and running boards pearl white too! Dave OK. You've shown. Now, tell!!!! Where did you get them pulleys from? There too crisp to be kit offerings. Resin? Aftermarket? Do Tell!!!!! Also, is that Krylon Metal-Specks paint on that blower? Looks GOOOOOD !

Looking good. I'm doing the same kit but it's basically out of the box witha little wiring.

the pulley's are from Norman's S.C.o.T supercharger kit. i have two of them i have used and had the pulley's left over and enough belt material too. the supercharger is painted with three different colors of Testors metalizer.
i hope to get some work done on this today at some point. the paint looks pretty nice! a little shinier than what i'm known for, but hey! Dave

okay here is what i got done today! finished up work by 4, so i got home and got some bench time in before and after dinner. i originally had the tuck-n-roll interior from Replicas and Miniatures in this thing, but after assembling the interior and test fitting it, i found a bit of a problem. the interior side panels were too tall, by 1/16" or so. i tried to come up with a solution, but i don't like sanding or grinding on resin. no resin dust for me thanks! i ended up going back to the stock side panels. anyway, i assembled the interior again and mocked everything up again to check out where i'm at. here's a couple more. my camera is slowly failing, it's getting old i guess. the image quality seems to be going into the toilet lately. the color is Tamiya metallic black with their pearl clear over it and the decals. for some reason the picture makes it look big and chunky, but the flake is pretty fine. THAT is sweeeeet! I LOVE that color. Gunmetal metallic? FANTASTIC choice, and it REALLY sets that huffer off. Perfect choice for wheels. AS USUAL Dave, you done a winner! I gotta get me a '40. Anybody wanna trade a '51 Fleetline for a '40 Ford? Man, I think I'm jealous! Great job, buddy!!! This looks like it would go perfectly with that slabtank bobber in the background. Thought I didn't see that, did'nt ya?
