... hey now i will REALLY get funny looks when im buying nail polish and fake nails Everytime I buy nailpolish at Wally World, they start looking at me kind of funny, then they see what I look like and ring me up without sayin' nuttin. I have been told that I look like somebody who just ATE the meanass junkyard dog! I really ain't that bad of a guy. Besides, dog is GOOOD eatin'!!!

here are some updated pics of the car! i put the '32 sedan away until i finish this one. i still have a bunch of small things to do, but she is shaping up nicely. i wasn't too sure about the white radiator, but the black one just didn't look right. not too sure how many radiators have ever been painted pearl white, but it works in this case! hope you guys are enjoying this build! i have an idea for using the "thickest" string from a bass guitar to try and make my radiator hoses from, but i have to get out to a music store and check them out. i'm hoping that after a proper annealing that the string will be formable enough to work out. the upper radiator hoses on this build are a bit complicated! Dave I've done similar with an E string from a set of Ernie Ball's (6-string guitar strings. Hey! I got OTHER hobbies!!!). The strings are more flexable that you think. Use a pair of needle nose pliers with a flat area, and you can form this wire any way you want. Oh, and if your are gonna use Bass strings, get nickel wound. If you get flat strings, you'll be sorely dissappointed!

thanks for the tip, i was planning on picking some up tomorrow while out. hopefully i'll have something to show tomorrow night!
i tried learning to play guitar when i was 13-14, didn't go well, i'm not musically inclined. i do remember Ernie Ball strings though, especially the one that broke and stuck into the top of my hand! Dave

okay, i got some strings today and gave it a shot. they worked out quite nicely and now i think i will use them again in the future on other builds. the guy at the music store was suprisingly helpful and thought it was cool what i was doing. here are some pics of the "hoses"! i added the voltage regulator to the firewall and a license plate and i'm calling this one DONE! finished pics to be posted soon over in "the freakin shelf" Dave
