Hey,
Did anyone ever section a triangular piece out of a body?
I have an idea for a sectioning job where I would have almost nothing removed at one end of the car and then an ever widening section going to the other end of the car - say four inches.
Would that be TRaKable?

I'm sure there was a Harry Bradley car with a pie section out of it. Give me a few minutes... Edit - it was this one, but it was done in the '80s, more recently than I thought.

Here's one I did a few years ago. It ends up about 3" at the rear. Hope this helps.

Pardon my " ". I would think it's OK as thats been a way to pancake hoods and trunks for a long long time.

Neil, i'm having a couple of '49 Ford Coupes pie-sectioned...there was even a tutorial done on it.
i may be wrong...and if i am... the Boss will correct me...but i don't see why it would be wrong...after all...as Bob said... sectioning is only a smart part of the customizing world.

Thanks Duane, I think I will wait to hear from Bob before I cut up an out of production kit body - but then the styrene will fly

Why? Its only plastic surgury! LOL. No seriously though. Didn't they use that idea on the dream truck? Correct me if I am wrong. But seems as though they had pie cut "sectioned" the rear end of it to create the lines they wanted before adding the fins?
