...... if it was popular (a trend) enough to end up in the magazines with in the time periods allowed here then it should be considered traditional. That's all I was clarifying.That is the way I look at this board

Ed I didn't make that comment shooting for you. I was just trying to make a point that even though a certain part was available before 69 doesn't make it's use traditional. A lot of the rods from the late 60's was crossing from traditional hot rod to street rod.

To me, its more the look and the feel. See, with the two fords pictured from the mag, the black one feels trad to me. The yellow one screams hot rod, not trad. I dont know what was or wasnt available all together. But I know alot of styles and trends and thats just how I see it. Unfortunatly at that, it would make judging a car more of a hassle and allow for more arguments on what is and is not trad! If you merely make aything available before 69 trad, that it makes it easier to say yea or nay! Just my random thought!
