 This thing fought me all the way. Tim Boyd made this version of this kit look easy in S.A.#108, but it seems like I had to scratch build or modify almost everything.  Testors Root Beer and Duplicolor Gold with a hand-painted red separation line, buried in polished Testors Wet Look Clear.  Most of rear end from AMT '25 "T" kit. Reworked Revell '32 Ford louvered trunk lid. Dudek tailights.  409 from a Lindberg '61 Impala kit and some parts box stuff.  Front suspension is mostly a modified front end from a Revell '32 Ford kit.  Something for the 25th scale pervs among us. |

I built one of these also and mine fought me the whole time too. It's not TraK friendly but you can click on my link below if you want to see it. I like the car now that it's done but.........I don't think I'd build it again on purpose.
Your's turned out great! Love the mill.

Nice build, Lyle. This kit is a total pain in the ass to put together. The 409 looks bitchin' too! But, for the sake of being honest I don't like the way the sides of the body are painted at all. Looks like they are just stuck on there. Would have been way cleaner without all that.
