So I have been working on this thing for waaaay longer than Id like to admit and I started thinking to myself.....shit this thing is getting ratroddy. What you think guys? I keep throwing around flat black and a gold frame to make matters worse. Or some insane pink and a white frame. I dunno.

Not enough carbies. And the nose on the Willy's is not high enough either.

I beg to differ.........to a degree here. Look at the roadster project I currently have going.........damn near the same set up on the engine as this! The one thing I would change is the intake for the carbs.........looks like you used an injection intake........if the base for the carbs was a lot lower it would lose a bit of the rat rod feel...............just look at the pics of the 1:1 roadster I am building. I also have an old Hot Rod magazine from the late '50's-early '60's that features a '27? sedan that is chopped way down and channeled heavily like this with whacky headers...........just recently saw a track action shot of it on the HAMB the other day too................just say'n!

I think that if you brought the channel up even with the bottom of the frame, got rid of the blower and just used the carbs it would be OK. The thing that makes it un-trakable for me is the carbs/blower sticking way above the roof. And no flat black!

I didn't notice it being channeled past the bottom of the frame rails the first time I looked at it! LOL! I'd bring it up to the bottom of the rails too if it were me. Here's a pic of the 1:1 I building my roadster after.....to give you an idea of how this set up was typically done back in the day......... Hosted on Fotki

You could use the optional induction system from the Model King/AMT 'Boss Nova' kit. Although this kit represents a late 60's mid-engine funny car it has a lot of kool traditional hot rod and drag race parts, especially the 8-carb/ blower set-up for the Hemi, which I believe is a variation on the 'Dbl. Dragster' one, it works for race or show! I've raided two already, need another and may never get to doing anything with the body/frame, ya know how it is.

Holy crap Outlaw that's awesome. Yeah due to the unTRAkable direction of this build, I've sorta lost interest in this build again and boxed her back up for now..
