The wheels may not pass muster with you guys... Whaddya say? Big inch rims from a '57 Chevy snapper... kind of a modern halibrand... and no, I'm not gonna change them

Perfect. Apart from the wheels. I think those have been discussed before and ruled against, but someone else can decide that.

If you're describing it as 'kind of a modern Halibrand' I suspect you already think the wheels are too modern. What size are they? I think in the Chevy kit they're portrayed as 20 inch or something like that?
I wonder if it would make any difference if the wheels weren't chromed? Maybe if they looked like unpolished magnesium?

I think you should do what you want....as you will....but, as for TRaK...I personally feel they are too big and the tires too low profile.....however, they can't be much different from what's been posted as of recent and KK's Saltster comes to mind....pushed the limits a bit, but passed.....so shall yours. (I would suggest the styling goes hard pre 70...to take away from the tires as much as possible.) If this was plain red with a tan/brown interior.....it would really look modern...hope that makes sense. I would agree stripping the wheels or painting the centers magnesium.

Thanks, Bob. I'll try to go pre 70's as much as possible. Its all planned out already, got a real nostalgic feel to it, but I'll run pics by you before I post a finished model.
