ok, wondering if THIS will work. the tire on the right is the oringinal (untrakable) and the one on the left is the one i have a question about...is it trakable? i put a set of piecrust slicks on it and didnt like the way that it looked. so here is what i think looks bettter. [/img]

Sure. That looks like a 10" Racemaster that the gasser and altered guys were running starting in the mid-60s. I like the look now better. And I really like that skull on the spare tire well!

That's what I suggested when you originally posted. I'm working with the same chassis with an injected motor, and those wide slicks looked like too much. The tires on the car now look plenty big and period correct, in my opinion. By the way, I think pie crust sidewalls all but disappeared by the mid-60s, except for Pos-A-Traction street cheater slicks!

thanks guys. the new tires are from the stone, woods and cook kit, so i would think they would be more period correct.
