This is looking really perfect! I could not think of anything I had done differently if this was mine. The engine, wheels, tires, stance and body shapes... Everything looks very good. Keep it up.

Great to see you taking on the challenge of inserting louvered panels. Whenever I've considered this I've found the issue of the proximity of the louvers to the edges of the cuts imposed by the size and shape of the surfaces to be especially daunting. I'm sure you have a plan! I'm really liking the overall stance and general look of this project. Looking foreword to more, more, more...

That's why I was sure to leave plenty of room for sanding the seams. That, and making sure the seams are as clean as possible means way less clean up work. As you can see, the seams have been sanded on the left side already. Just a very minimal amount of filler will be needed.

Glad to see you back at this Dennis. I went back through the WIP posts and bookmarked this one (and several other of your projects).

I am very glad to see this update and the other "Dennis" projects with updates as well, very inspiring!! The use of the 4-71 blower look awesome. Everyone gets hung up on SCoT blowers for flatheads but I think the GMC style blowers look tougher. One of my customers is having another shop build him a'32 roadster. It has a flathead with a 4-71 topped with a 2-port Hilborn injector (like my mock up blower) converted to hidden EFI. Motor looks seriously bad ass!

If possible, post a shot of it in this thread for comparison, that would be great! I had a plan for a other kind of blower to my 60 HP flathead (1936 engine) and I can take a pic if it sounds interesting. It's collecting dust right now since I am about to sell my 1929 Roadster pkp.

Dammit Dennis! I just recently boxed my '37 back up because I was tired of seeing it collect dust. Now, you pull this back out! LOL! I dreaded plumbing and adding linkage to the eight carburetors so bad that I just lost interest in mine. Seeing yours again has given me an idea though. I like the engine changes you've made. What will happen with the nice louvered hood that you made? Thanx for the info on the 4-71 blower setup. I need one for a V-6 Jeepster project.

I like the engine changes you've made. What will happen with the nice louvered hood that you made? The modified hood and '37 grill are no more, back to the custom '38 grill I originally made for it. It's okay. no point in making a bitchin' blown flathead and covering it up. Honestly, I wasn't too happy with the hood. It looked neat, for sure, but that 80's orange plastic is terrible to work with. In hindsight I should have used modern, flexible white Revell plastic from their '32 series to splice in louvers. I'd like to build a '37 Panel as I mild late 40's custom for a business so maybe I'll give it another whirl down the road.

I love this build and I'm glad to see it keep coming out. Too bad about all the work it took for the hood, but I have to say I was just a bit downed when you went with the smaller engine too. I like this much better. Some day... this is going to be a heck of a truck.
