Yowzer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am afraid to ask what decals you plan on putting on it; because I cannot picture decals helping it any at this point.....but possibly taking away from it.......'less is more'. But, it is your build! You mean it wouldn't look good with a big skull and cross bones on the doors??? LOL! I knew that wouldn't be in your plans here; but I can't even say I would like it more with a traditional shop name on the door either. There is nothing you could put on it for decals (*I think*) that would make it more appealing to me personally. I do have to agree with others on the chrome windshield frame. It would add just enough chrome to the build without taking away from the more simplistic approach; and more than likely brighten up the interior a hair more with it's reflective light.

Glad to see this one in the home stretch Dennis! I literally was looking at my 37 just the other day. I was thinking about snagging the engine out of it. But, I didn't do it. About all it needs is the body painted and put together.

Looks awesome. Dramatic and understated at the same time...I agree I'd like to see chrome on the windshield, but only because my individual tastes lean that way. I can see the red frame is consistent with the theme/palette you've established for the truck, and it helps the whole package feel like it's making a specific statement, rather than just following conventional thinking. Chrome lug nuts? Chrome lug nuts. That's all it needs now

Chrome lug nuts? Chrome lug nuts. That's all it needs now I get that the suggestions are probably mostly based on personal bias, which is cool. But as you eluded to, the fact that the windshield frame is red is based on a theme throughout the truck. The theme isn't fully carried out or recognizable here because there's pieces missing. And it will have way more than chrome lug nuts! More like chrome full wheel covers which will be, probably, the last items to get installed.

I really liked your truck. Dig that poor, neglected thing out and get it done! Don't be like me and take over 5 years... Yeah, I need to. But, adding the linkage and fuel lines to eight carburetors keeps putting it off. If I could get past that, I could get it done.

I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the grille in metallic dark red, but I like it! The ornament on top is a very cool touch, gives the nose a dose of much needed speed. I also like how the pitman arm looks kinda like it's being presented on red velvet. Classy! Congrats on getting 'er done after all these years

Glad to see you get it finished Dennis!! Lots of cool touches! Especially the ornament. What's it from? To be honest, the single bars don't suit the look the truck has IMO. I think it would look better with a set of the Olds Fiesta covers from the custom version. But, that's just my opinion.

The grill ornament is part of the '38 grill & hood option in the most recent '37 Pickup kit. I thought it looked really cool. As for the wheel caps, you might be right that Fiesta's would look better but these (Revell Custom '48 Coupe) are all I had on-hand and I like 'em. I think they give it a slight "custom-rod" feel.
